Cotswold Inns & Hotels
The old stone. The quiet gardens. A fire in the grate. The creak of a floorboard. Then you step inside and find all the things you hope for — a comfortable room, good food, a warm welcome.
I spent time travelling between the Cotswold Inns & Hotels, visiting each of the seven properties and photographing what makes them different.
They each have their own history and character. Some feel grand and elegant, others more relaxed and intimate. But what interested me was finding the details that brought them to life, because these are the things that give a place its feeling.
I wanted the photographs to do more than show the rooms and buildings. They needed to make you feel what it might be like to arrive, settle in and stay awhile.
It meant slowing down and looking carefully. Finding the little things that might otherwise be missed.
Seven hotels. Seven different personalities.
One beautiful part of the Cotswolds to explore.
