Documenting the Makers

A lot of my work has always been rooted in craft. I’m drawn to the people who make, build, shape and install. The specialists who spend years refining something until skill becomes instinct. There is something compelling in watching expertise unfold in front of you. The quiet confidence of repetition. Hands moving without hesitation. The concentration. The details that most people pass by.

My role has always been to observe carefully. To capture that attention to detail through the lens with a curious eye, and to tell the story that sits behind the finished work. Because every craft has its own rhythm. Every maker has their own way of moving through the world.

For years I have documented the work of remarkable individuals across different industries and disciplines. Every assignment has taken me somewhere new. Workshops thick with dust and noise. Studios full of light and experimentation. Construction sites, kitchens, makers’ spaces and places where ideas slowly become something tangible.

The photographs matter, but so do the encounters along the way. The real privilege has always been meeting fascinating artists, creatives and craftspeople, people deeply invested in what they do. People who care about the small things. Those moments have shaped my work as much as the images themselves. Every shoot has carried a sense of discovery. Every story, a new adventure.
